On Sunday, January 13th, 2013 tens of thousands of people took off their pants on subways in 60 cities in 25 countries around the world. In New York, our 12th Annual No Pants Subway Ride had over 4,000 participants, spread out over six meeting points and ten subway lines. If you’re unfamiliar with this event, you might want to first read our history of The No Pants Subway Ride. Since this is the 12th year we’ve done this, there’s not too much to report other than it was another awesome time. Below are a small selection of photos that jumped out to me as being fun and new, compared to previous editions. Enjoy!
This Queens resident won the award for “oldest participant” at 82-years-old at the Downtown meeting point.
Agent Richard Lovejoy, who was at the original ride in 2002 and won the award at the Downtown meeting point for most rides.
Awesome to have someone from the military participate!
This year China joined the No Pants Subway Ride with rides in Hong Kong and Shanghai (pictured above.)
This dapper gentleman participated in Philadelphia.
Mexico City had 2,500 participants at their ride!
Thanks to our editing team that got the video done in under 24 hours. These guys didn’t sleep.
