The Light Switch

After an “epic” success in 2014, Improv Everywhere and Target got the team back together to bring Target’s holiday Wonderpacks to life, creating a spontaneous winter wonderland in the middle of Manhattan.

Improv Everywhere designed a giant light switch, and a system that synchronized three miles of lights over 11,000 square feet of an NYC park with wearables on volunteers. With the help of Target’s mascot, Bullseye the dog, we got New Yorkers to appreciate the joy that a Wonderpack could bring.

Royal Surprise

Crown Royal believes that if you live generously, life will treat you royally. So Improv Everywhere saddled up with them and went all the way to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to reward random acts of kindness.

We gave rodeo-goers the royal treatment with a cheering crowd, a celebrity meet-and-greet, and other surprises. By highlighting the everyday generosity of regular individuals, we brought Crown Royal’s mantra to life.

The Pirates of Central Park

Working with Disney on a video to promote Disney Parks, Improv Everywhere transformed one of Central Park’s iconic row boats into a pirate ship straight out of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Our pirate improvisors set sail, interacting with anyone nearby on land or “sea,” while incorporating creative material true to the ride and the spirit of Disney Parks. We were delighted to bring some Disney magic to the real world and encourage everyday people to show their #DisneySide.

Big Ten Run

Fox Sports wanted to create a huge scene to announce that the Big Ten was coming to FS1.  They partnered with us to get 100 football players to run through Times Square, surprising and delighting New Yorkers and tourists along the way.

The run happened in real time, starting with a live morning show TV hit and ending at the NASDAQ, where our performers rang the opening bell with Fox Sports executives.
