Video Vault: The Moebius (2003)

The much-requested Moebius video is finally online, a little over four years after we created that time loop in the Astor Place Starbucks here in NYC. The Moebius was covered by This American Life’s radio broadcast in 2005, and is probably the most popular mission we’ve done. Don’t get your hopes up too high for this video, however, as it was crudely recorded with only one camera, poking out a dufflebag. Editor Andy van Baal did his best to make it look as slick as possible for your viewing enjoyment.

  1. My favorite mission. Thanks for finally getting video of the mission on the website. However, the audio track is quite annoying. I almost stopped watching the video because of the guy repeating over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (this is becoming tiresome, right?) and over again “time is a loop.” Should have faded that out after ten seconds.

  2. Brilliant! Indeed, I have waited so long for a video of these activities. I absolutely love the mission, have considered it one of my favorites from the first time reading about it. Video might be sparse of footage, but it still portrays everything very well. Oh, and I thought the looping voice was fine, but I have a high tolerance for that type of thing.

    Cheers!

  3. You should remove the incessant “Time becomes loop” i almost couldnt make it through the video.
