The 8th Annual No Pants! Subway Ride will take place on Saturday, January 10 in New York City. More info with the meeting point and start time will be posted to this site in early January. For now, save the date. Like last year, we’re encouraging folks in other cities around the world to stage their own No Pants rides on the same day.
If you would like to commit to organizing a ride in your city, first check to see if your city has an active group on the Urban Prankster Network already organizing a ride. Anyone organizing a No Pants event should let us know by leaving a comment on this post. In a few weeks we will publish a list of all participating cities along with links to details, Facebook events, etc.
Below is a short history of the No Pants! Subway Ride from its inception in 2002 to today.
There’s a brand new Improv Everywhere DVD! Improv Everywhere Volume 3 features all of the missions from the last two years as well as brand new material previously unreleased! See all of our newest videos for the first time in DVD quality, along with commentary tracks, and special features. Over 2 hours of footage!
We’ve got some new Mp3 Experiment content to share. We did a live show at the InterFilm Festival in Berlin earlier this month and held an Mp3 Experiment right in the heart of the city. About 300 Germans came out to participate. It was a blast to do it in such a crowded urban area, and the language barrier was interesting to see. Most Germans speak English quite well, but certain words were lost in translation, like “charge,” which led to me being the only person to run at the start of the battle! Check out the results in the video above and this photo set.
For our latest mission, 20 Improv Everywhere agents personally welcomed home total strangers at JFK airport. Grabbing first and last names from car driver signs, we greeted strangers with personalized posters, flowers, balloons, and a 10-foot wide banner reading, “Welcome Back.”
Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 100 missions involving tens of thousands of undercover agents. The group is based in New York City.
